The Permex Jumbo has been developed from the well- known and highly successful Permex Panda range of on-the-pallet drum fillers. The Permex Jumbo extends this range by offering the following features:
- On pallet container filling or container emptying does not need conveyor for high throughput.
- Can fill by level, volume, mass or weight.
- Hands free filling - operator can utilise this time efficiently e.g. for labelling or bunging.
- Exterior finish either painted or largely satin finish 304 stainless steel (may be fine polished if required).
- Can be trolley mounted for easy relocation and minimum commissioning.
- Multi-level container filling where the operator only has to lift empty containers.
- Very robust construction allows hoses of up to 75mm n.b. giving fill rates of over 350 litres per minute.
- Interchangeable filling / washing / emptying lances can use just one arm and stanchion.
- Drip cups and vapour removal hoods are available.
SPECIFICATION
Very heavy-duty floor or trolley mounted machine for filling /emptying / washing containers from 700 to 1800mm high (floor mount) and from 900 to 2000mm high (trolley mount).
Span: Up to 5 pallets standard or 3 if air brakes fitted (for weigh platform applications).
Movement: Arm height pneumatically adjusted. Span manually adjusted. Both top and bottom-fill filling heads move up and down pneumatically.
Finish: Epoxy resin paint or 304 stainless steel on most external surfaces, rough polished for chemical industry use, fine satin finish for food or pharmaceutical industries.
OPTIONS
Finish: Epoxy resin paint or 304 Stainless Steel (fine polished finish also available).
Mounting: Standard floor mount or trolley mounted versions available.
Arm: Standard three-section for multi-pallet use or special three-section 'L' format with filling head at end of second section and with air brakes available for use with weigh platform.
Wash Programme: Using a separate wash lance with spin head giving almost 360 degree coverage, a separate metered stream can switch from recycled to clean liquid for final rinse.
JUMBO SYSTEMS
Filling heads are raised and lowered pneumatically. Sub-surface filling lance may be made to rise as fill proceeds. Liquid handling systems are normally 50mm nominal bore - allowing free-flowing liquids (say up to 100 cp. viscosity) to be filled at rates above 300 litres per minute if the flowmeter is sized accordingly. Up to 75mm n.b. may be used if required for viscous liquids. Measuring systems may be based on flow meters measuring volume (using turbines for free-flowing liquids or positive displacement meters for higher viscosity products) or mass (allowing highly accurate measurement by the kilogram without a weigh platform), or weigh platforms (if the liquid is such that it cannot be metered accurately), or simply filling to a level. Over-fill protection can frequently be designed in.
